About this user
I began making music in 1964. In 1966 I played drums in the Chicago Blues band the Black Cat Bones (featuring the legendary Paul Kossoff on lead guitar - left the band to form the group FREE) and went on to play avant garde jazz and group improvised music in spring 1968. I work largely with metal percussion instruments that have a long sustain and are rich with harmonic overtones. I am known for my use of space with hanging clouds of harmonics within my spontaneous improvisations. I have appeared on over 100 album releases (LPs, MCs & CDs). I also paint and have developed my own system of sound healing exclusively using Tibetan Singing Bowls since 1984. I have worked with singing bowls since 1971 and have given over 350 workshops on this subject and I have given over 350 solo concerts. I changed to being an improvising musician in 1968 and worked with such luminaries as Derek Bailey, Evan Parker, Chris McGregor, & Keith Tippett and went on to replace Tony Oxley in the Musicians Co-operative. I began working with the paintings of Nicholas Roerich and my music in 1978 and I love his work. I have been on the spiritual path since 1965. I have been a trance medium since 1965 - although largely inactive since joining the White Eagle Lodge in 1970. I am described as being clairaudient and clairvoyant whilst psychic gifts go back in my family for three generations. I have been practising as a spiritual/karmic astrologer since 1975. I am trained in spiritual healing with the White Eagle Lodge since 1970. I was born in 1948 in Hampstead, London. You can find out more via my website www.frankperry.co.uk
