I had the good fortune to see Muddy in 1973. He is The Man in my books. Last year I attended a seminar hosted by Dick Waterman at Portland Waterfront Blues Festival and he stated Muddy was the most inflential Blues man of the 20th century. I totally agree!!
All I can say to MissBeanie96 is that in most things in life, eagles soar alone and turkeys flock together. I have been avoiding mainstream music for well over fifty years and am proud not to have caved and joined the masses!!
I, too was at Red Rocks in 2008 and agree that this was one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen and that is in a 45 year history of seeing live music!! I bought the download of that show and listen to this track almost daily!! Thanks for posting.
