me:.
i am nick morchang, a sound engineer by trade both in the studio and live. Along with Adi bhasin we produced these videos between 2006 and 2010.This is an online account of recordings in sound and vision with many artists from around the world.
Much of the work here has been recorded live (albeit with "one take" overdubs)in both enviroments as this represents the reality of the performance.

the studio:
State of the art recording facility in the heart of Jaipur, Rajasthan, dedicated to recording both folk and classical music from Rajasthan.
It served as a platform for creativity and expression, encouraging the musicians to experiment to create the new sounds of Rajasthan.
i myself do not operate at morchangstudios anymore and it is now under the control of a good friend adi....

MTV Coke studio failed in front of you guys.. there is so much reality and freshness in it....loved all performance... in this music and voice you can see root, folk...culture...keep it up guys...also let me know if gouys are doing stages or live performance It will be great to watch live.... :)
