A little early to say the 3ds flopped, their sales have picked up recently , but i think the slow start had a lot to do with the confusion over whether it was just a ds with a 3d gimmick or a new handheld (among other factors)

@wifeyo8 well they've beaten us twice in world cups, and in general they are a very good team so i personally agree.... hopefully we can become better than them with time though, and improvements to our soccer infrastructure at the youth levels

@hworkdedication we also beat panama in the gold cup, and in a recent friendly... we also have been in a rough transition stage the last 9 months with a change in the head coach, and a lot of attempted changes in the US soccer youth system. in this game though we beat spain fair and square. the world cup was a lot of fun, but this game was just horrible (at least from a neutral fan's perspective)

imagine if findley was actually capable of finishing, with his speed wee could've had a dirty rotation of strikers at the world cup (buddle, findley, altidore)

@supertmartin2 well for one thing our defense isn't aging... charles woodson is old as dirt (and still damn good), and pickett is like 32 but besides that the rest of our defense is extremely young.
