So my name is Joe Morahan but for those of you who know me, I'm just Joey. I'm a wild, brilliant, lost, creative. I have traveled much of the world, shared some of my most precious memories with others I just met (wonderful), I have jumped out of a plane at 25,000 feet with four of my best buddies (crazy), rafted through the Grand Canyon (adventurous), Climbed the biggest rock in the world at Alice Springs, Australia (exhausting) , seen a bullet traveling at top speed with my own eyes (impossible), been involved in a fight 45 feet underwater (don't ask), got barreled in a wave at Puerto Escondido, Mexico (death defying), Broken over 50 bones in my body (indestructible) , Graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with high honors (satisfying), grew up in a big family in Littleton, Colorado (interesting) , seen the sun-rise in the sand dunes of Namibia (spectacular), played a game of soccer with a Massai Village in Tanzania (heart wrenching), climbed a 14,000 foot peak in Colorado (incredible) , went on my own in nature for 3 days without seeing anyone (peaceful) , did a back flip off the highest bungee jump in the world (ridiculous) , met the president of the United States (miraculous) , caught five foul balls at one ball game (lucky) , climbed down a 200 foot cliff to take pictures (stupid) , watched a scuba diver get attacked by an eel 35 feet underwater (crazy) , skied the most insane mountains in Colorado (radical) , traded with the locals in Indonesia (priceless) I just love life
Bio:
Joe Morahan IV is a 2005 graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photography, where he earned a degree in Scientific and Industrial Photography. Joe specializes in Sports photography. He has a very unorthodox style of shooting sports, "Sportrature". He creates images that stand out from other sports photography. His sports work has gained him contracts with Getty Images Assignment Division, Getty Stock Images, Jupiter Images, and he also worked closely with NewSportPhoto. Over the past few years Morahan has been contracted to shoot the US Olympic Trials, The US Open, X-Games, and the US National Snow Board Championships. He has had multiple feature stories written about his sports work in National Photography Magazines. Rangefinder Magazine and Shutterbug Magazine have interviewed and written stories about Joe's unique sports work. His sports clients include magazines and companies from around the world who were looking for different view to the same sport.
Morahan enjoys photographing nature as well. He writes regularly for national photography magazines, and also has clients using his nature photography for advertising campaigns. Morahans nature specialties include landscape, wildlife, and night photography. He has written many articles about his techniques and tricks to night photography. FujiFilm uses Morahans night photographs for advertising for specific types of chrome film.
