Yemeni child bride dies of internal bleeding
CNN) -- A 12-year-old Yemeni bride died of internal bleeding following intercourse three days after she was married off to an older man, the United Nations Children's Fund said.
The girl was married to a man at least twice her age, said Sigrid Kaag, UNICEF regional director for the Middle East and North Africa.
Her death is "a painful reminder of the risks girls face when they are married too soon," Kaag said Thursday.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The images in the Basra police file are nauseating: Page after page of women killed in brutal fashion -- some strangled to death, their faces disfigured; others beheaded. All bear signs of torture. The women are killed, police say, because they failed to wear a headscarf or because they ignored other "rules" that secretive fundamentalist groups want to enforce.
"Fear, fear is always there," says 30-year-old Safana, an artist and university professor. "We don't know who to be afraid of. Maybe it's a friend or a student you teach. There is no break, no security. I don't know who to be afraid of."
Her fear is justified. Iraq's second-largest city, Basra, is a stronghold of conservative Shia groups. As many as 133 women were killed in Basra last year -- 79 for violation of "Islamic teachings" and 47 for so-called honor killings, according to IRIN, the news branch of the U.N.'s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
One glance through the police file is enough to understand the consequences. Basra's police chief, Gen. Abdul Jalil Khalaf, flips through the file, pointing to one unsolved case after another.

Why do people think Christians are dangerous? I don't get it...you don't see new stories like this about us on the news.
For those that don't believe in the Christian faith...fine..I don't care. I won't bug you about mine nor try to force my views on you. I stand against hatred for anyone, regardless of who they are or what they do...while I might 'hate' what they do, I won't 'hate on them' like I see many on here doing. For a Christian to hate others it goes against the teachings of Christ to love each other as He has loved us. Jesus even said to love our enemies! I cannot stand to see a Christian attacking others for whatever reason. Its NOT showing the fruits of the Holy Spirit in them when they do this and goes against Jesus' teachings. SO KNOCK IT OFF!
I don't mind my faith being HONESTLY challenged but rarely is their any honest challenges to it...I am happy to answer those challenges. What I usually see though is lies and twisted truths about our beliefs done in attacking manners. Its as if people cannot find something to truly challenge us with so have to make up stuff. Its stupid. Stop it. Grow up. And I guess that is all I have to say on that...for now.
I wanted to post some information on here for those seeking information about whether the bible is true or just a bunch of made up stories. I cannot put links on the post on video's so I am hoping to put them on here.

This site has tons of historical and Archeology information about the bible, the people we read about in the bible, the places, the actual events and so forth. A person could spend months on there just reading.
More on this type of evidence later...on to addressing other common questions:

Good question......was Jesus Christ just a CopyCat Savior Myth?
This is from the Christianthinktank...he answers some hard questions on there and is extremely long winded because he goes into great depths and detail...I can't image after one reads one of his long articles they would have too many questions left (at least on that one subject they are reading on).
For those that think the bible says the earth is flat: http://www.trueorigin.org/f...
Christians that do believe evolution is how God did it: http://www.bibleforums.net/...
Whatever your beliefs are in regards to evolution...putting down other Christians for believing in this only causes divisions between us which is not a good thing. I personally do not believe the idea of evolution but I am not going to bash others for having this belief as it only pushes them away from God and not too Him. Let God deal with each person on this on a individual bases so we may keep the peace between us.

GORDON ROBERTSON: Let's deal with the Western world view for a minute. You grew up in sort of a multifaceted religious society with Buddhists and Hindus and Muslims all living together. I think that's unique in the world. But from a Western point of view, I think one of the reasons many Americans, for example, have--have rejected the claims of Christ or even the existence of God, is they say, `Well, how do you now explain evil? Why do bad things happen to good people?'
RAVI ZACHARIAS: I think that is the most daunting question. It is sort of a hatpin in the heart of many a world view. But when a person asks that question, Gordon, they have to remember two things. The first thing is that it is a question everybody needs to answer, not just the Christian. The Hindu needs to answer it, the Buddhist needs to answer it, the atheist needs to answer it, and the skeptic needs to answer it. One of my chapters is given over to that question when Jesus was asked, `Why was this man born blind. Did he sin, or his parents?' And Jesus' answer is fascinating. So let me try and put the hatpin into the heart of the question first, because that's where you begin the answer. When a person says there's too much of evil in this world, they're assuming there's such a thing as good. When they say they assume there's such a thing as good, they must assume there's such a thing as a moral law on the base of which to differentiate between good and evil. But when they posit such a thing as a moral law, they must posit the moral lawgiver, but that's whom the skeptic is often trying to disprove and not prove, because if there's no moral lawgiver, there's no moral law. If there's no moral law, there is no good. If there is no good, there is no evil. What becomes of the question?
To raise the question actually posits or assumes the existence of God. So the questioner must ever remember that raising the question does not disprove the existence of God, it only necessitates the existence of God, because without God, good and evil do not actually exist. And therefore, the answer of God in the Christian faith is very unique.
In the Hindu world view, it is sort of karma, inherited, every birth is a rebirth, you pay, you pay, and you pay through millions of incarnations. In the Muslim world view, it's fatalistic -- it's the will of Allah. You go on. There's no real down-to-earth explanation. It's just there. Within the Christian world view, there is a plethora of evidence as to how Jesus defends for us the reality of evil and the reality of good. When you go to the cross, you see the two converge -- evil in the heart of man, goodness in the heart of God. That convergence in the cross of Jesus Christ is so unique that it even prompted Mahatma Gandhi to say outside of the cross, he did not know where else something so unique could be given as an answer.
Now you lead philosophically to these issues and then you see how the Bible does deal with it. So to raise the question demonstrates the existence of God.
I've taken you through the six steps of God's answer that shows us how you deal with the problem of evil, Gordon, ultimately moving to this question: If the evil around me bothers me that much, I must ask the question: Does the evil within me bother me, then? And it must, and for that evil within, only Christ has the answer.
