Montreal Chinese Lion Dance Club

The Montreal Chinese Lion Dance Club was established in 1981 to promote the Chinese culture through the practice of martial arts and lion dance.

Our Sifu is Johnny Wong and our club consists of over 35 members. We train twice a week and anyone is welcome to watch and exchange ideas. Although the main focus of our club is lion dance, we also train in Hung Gar Kuen to strengthen our stances and improve our stamina for lion dancing. We perform for any occasion to bring luck, happiness and prosperity. Such performances have included parades, festivals, weddings, business openings and movies! Most notable performances include a collaboration with "Cirque du Soleil" and the movie "Art of War". Take a look and enjoy.
