As part of the Montblanc 'Signature for Good' initiative, Hilary Swank and Montblanc International CEO Lutz Bethge travelled to Ethiopia, with the mission to see both the progress achieved to date with the help of funds raised by Montblanc and the challenges that still need to be overcome in the area of education. They joined Caryl M. Stern, President and CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and Christian Schneider, Executive Director UNICEF Germany, on a three-day trip to Ethiopia from 2 to 5 October 2012. The mission of their trip was to understand how UNICEF helps to change the lives of children. It provided an opportunity for the special visitors to learn more about the importance of education and the opportunities that it brings to some of the most disadvantaged communities in the world.

For nearly a decade, Montblanc has taken an active role in supporting UNICEFʼs efforts to enable more children to learn how to read and write. With the new 'Signature For Good' Collection, Montblanc is building on the success of the first 'Signature For Good' initiative launched in 2009.
