Came here by accident due to a reference made on another page to the Stranglers of all bands!!!!!......beautiful song, really beautiful, cant help but hear background tones of Danny Wilson's Loneliness however.

New album out soon, and another mini British tour due in April. Saw then in Kendal at the beginning of December, and there as good as ever. However,gig was poorly attended, and just hope more people come along to see one of Britain's best ever bands!!!

This track is simply magical.I'm 48 years old, and both my "Kids" LOVE this...coz I Brainwashed them!!!. however, being "a total Strangler" ,(so I like to think) I actually feel that the track "Relentless" from "Suite XVI" actually eclipses this track.

Something about this song . Loved Fischer Z, and have spent yet another night just going around U tube, listening to all their songs......and yet I'm always drawn back to "The Worker" . A real classic song, by a real quality band!!!! Sadly missed.

Still sheer class all these years later.Clearly remember my mother refused to buy me a pair of boots like Steve Priests'...!!.... Got my own back on her 4 years later though, when I bought bondage trousers, and became a punk!!! Ahhh these were the happy days.......
