This is filmed very much like the collages from his performances at the Garrick Theater in NYC circa 1967. Excellent job, wish I had your creativity, Zappa's music is so rich that it's a shame he didn't create more videos. One of my all time faves is G-Spot Tornado.

What makes me laugh about this Zappa tune is Frank (according to the real frank Zappa story) asked terry (ted) Bozzio to refrain from overzealousness on the cymbals and that's one of the things that puts the "eyebrows" on this version. Methinks he was kidding.

Remember seeing him in Toronto one night, great show, doobs flying around like mosquitoes at a Winnipeg bush party. There was even a dude trying to yank the bell payphone off the wall....oh the days.....

This whole show (it was a rehearsal broadcast on tv) was fantastic. Most bands in rock and roll can't come close to the musicianship Frank's bands had.

Ike really rocks on this, but like always it's Frank controlling the pace. Best teenage combo version ever, I think I'll grab a burger from Bernie in the back.

Frank said this was his fave band in an interview, it's no mystery why, perfectionists on all other instruments supporting him while he goes to the "outside" in his soloing. A shame Ruth hung up the mallets.
