Francesco Palazzo was born in Martina Franca (Italy) in 1969. He also completed his training trough humanistic studies,Composition,Choir Music and Choir Conducting. He played in the theatres and the auditoriums of many Italian main cities. He has recently undertaken a technical and expressive research on the exploitation of the accordion and by comparing it with other instruments he re-established his performing technique on new bases and he thus projected his personal accordion which is now correspondant to his renewed artistic requirements. He has been teaching accordion at Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory of Bari since 1993.
He also revised and transcribed works for his instrument, drawn mainly from the organ literature some of them have been already published. In July 2001 he distinguished himself in the Ibla Grand Prize with a Special Mention for the performance of De Profundis of S. Gubaidulina, which allowed him to perform in the most prestigious concert-halls in the United States of America (New York University-Casa Italiana Zerrilli Marimò, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York), and Europe (Amsterdam, Florence). He recorded some CDs for Sorriso Ed.Musicali,Rugginenti and for the Phoenix Classic a recital in which woks of Johann Sebastian Bach, Cèsar Franck, Felice Lattuada, Franco Alfano, Luigi Ferrari-Trecate, Sergio Calligaris, Bruno Bartolozzi and Sofia Gubaidulina are performed.
