FAQ:

1. How long have you been studying Japanese/ How did you start? A: I started teaching myself (unsuccessfully) when I started high school in 2002. After entering into college, I had 2 years of formal classes + I studied abroad for a semester at a university called Kansai Gaidai (関西外国語大学）I am now back to teaching myself Japanese since I have graduated college.

2. Why did you start learning Japanese? Are you some anime-fanatic? A: Contrary to what many think, I am certainly no anime fanatic (although there are several good ones). I didn't learn Japanese just so I can read manga, either (although there is nothing wrong with that). I started learning the language because I am fascinated with the culture/people/way of life in Japan. I want to become a cultural anthropologist hence, the fascination with the culture.

3. What the heck is up with your weird screen-name momonigiri ("moh-moh-nee-gee-ree") ? A: Haha, I get this alot, so I might as well explain the story. I love food... all kinds of foods. A few years back, I needed to come up with a unique screen name that wasn't something like "Azn_Gurl88" or "Jpn_fr33k" etc. So I thought... "hmm, I love the Japanese food onigiri (rice balls). But, I love peaches too.... heyy, wait a sec. momo (peach) ends in an "o" and onigiri starts with an "o". I GOT IT! Momo+onigiri= MOMONIGIRI! *oh yes, I felt SO clever at the time. xD*
