I make visual effects from time to time, mostly monthly and sometimes weekly.
I use a Canon 550D with an 18-55mm lens (which is awesome!) for now.
For video editing I use Adobe After Effects CS4, and sony vegas 9. And if I feel daring than I might use some 3DS max along with some boujou.
