For anyone into Chopin, the 1945 film biopic "A Song to Remember" traces the life of Chopin and stars Cornel Wilde as Chopin and Merle Oberon as George Sand. Its a great movie it really is!

My favourite verison of this piece is featured on the CD "Duets with Spanish Guitar" with Laurindo Almeida (guitar) & Martin Ruderman (flute). The emotion of the melody line is enhanced with nuance and vibrato that is beyond the capabilities of the piano instrument.
