The holocaust started because of an insane fantasy idiology - the Nazi idiology. The jewish religion and culture was the 'excuse' for genocide not the cause of it. Hate, ignorance and world domination was the cause. Religion is often the 'excuse' or the vehicle for war and never justifies it.
