Very few great bands escaped the 80's without a cheesy video. Moody Blues is no exception.

@jejones211 - unfortunately I can't pinpoint it, but I know that Ray Thomas (vocals, flutist) retired in about 2002 so this concert predates that and the second percussionist came aboard after 1991. Judging by appearances, my guess is the late 90's/2000ish.

Great number, great post. Buddy's in a good mood, you can tell and playing one of his signature tunes. But it seemed that even the 2nd take from the top was a bit weak - although after that the song just exploded the way you'd expect. But that horn section at the beginning was not quite hittin...

Great song - and I can always appreciate their professionalism of performing this song (probably for the 10,000th time) but their enthusiam looks as if they're enjoying it for the first time.

@epicmaddie - not quite accurate; while the actor, Fred Gwynne, was tall, the soles of his boots were made extra thick so he could appear even taller.

humpyfan, I think you're absolutely correct - had this song been properly promoted it would have been a major hit, no doubt. It's got such a hook and you can't imagine any other artist singing it.

I want to preserve Enge for as long as possible! While I'm glad his concert schedule is so full - selfishly gives me a better chance of seeing him again and view all these great clips on YouTube! - the demands of that many shows would strain a man half his age. I just want to be writing this sa...
