Hi! My name is Rita Martinez, I'm a 22 year old med student. I was born and raised here in the Dominican Republic in a city called Santo Domingo. I got saved during mid October in the year 2005 (2 years and 4 months ago, yay!!) after a number of things that happened throughout that entire year. As a new Christian I remember wanting to share my faith everyone I could, the sad part was that no one taught me how to properly evangelize, I would tell people how great this Christian life is and that even though I still had problems even more because my entire family opposed my newfound faith but being in communion with God made things easier, and duh! people would say but my life is great.
-- A year ago I had seen the Way of the Master website because I found out that Kirk Cameron was a Christian, I was amazed that a famous actor was a true born again Christian, but I didn't really read much of what was in the page. I was pretty discouraged because no one seemed to want the wonderful Christian life and had stopped sharing my faith and would only tell people about Christ when asked. At the end of last year I went back to the Way of the Master website and saw this video in which Todd was the recently saved friend trying to tell Kirk, the rich lost friend, God's wonderful plan for him. That hit me pretty hard and I finally saw the error in my evangelism! I thought WOW thats awesome! and got hooked on WOTM and then on WOTM radio, ever since then I have been evangelizing the Way of the Master's way. Although I do not witness as much as I would love to because I'm very shy!! The Lord is working in me and I now am slightly bolder thanks to Him! Praise the Lord!! :D
