When are you going to do a documentary on the real reason why the homelessness crisis in America exists? From the inner city shanty-towns and hillside camps of the Great Depression to FDR's and Fiorello LaGuardia's progressive housing-ownership scheme to the well-intended but ill-devised inner-city vertical public housing system to the connection between criminal elements and real-estate monopolists to slumlords and their success at ruining public housing in America to the deliberate labelling of all homeless persons as mentally ill to the horrid conditions in both public and some church-run homeless crisis management centers to etc..... WHEN?? Because adequate free emergency housing and truly affordable housing-ownership schemes should be mandated by law! And what kind of society imprisons homeless people?? WHEN??

2) GET US OFF FINITE FOSSIL FUELS.

Your car uses 25% of the gas you put in it to move. The rest is wasted from the exhaust, in breaking and transmission.

Electric cars use 80% of the energy put into them to move their wheels. They are much cleaner and more efficient EVEN if charged from the dirtyest coal fired power stations.

So please ask yourselves, why are we so hooked on dirty, inefficient, unsustainable, mostly foreign owned, and finite fossil fuels? ?

Why not hook up to INFINITE renewables??

The relatively tiny nation of Norway (with a much higher population density) powers itself with over 40% of its power coming from homegrown renewables. The US has around 10%. Whilst the US is highly dependent on foreign energy which commonly undergoes erratic price changes, Norway has much more stability sheltering more stable growth patterns.

It's fantastic to have Michael pointing out all the things that are wrong with the system and it sure makes you feel mad... but if you really want to actually 'do' anything about it, then it's the Zeitgeist movement and the Venus project who are the one's who have the only ideas for how it can all be put right. Any other ideas are about as useful as the little boy putting his finger in the dam.
