Neat videos. I got to hang around with a Conrail tie gang in '94 and '97, some of the nicest guys I've met. Now I wish I'd done something like this, I think they'd have gotten a kick out of it.

@SpeakerPolice I'm not 100% sure what the "GP38-2RS" rebuild entails, but it IS possible that CSX re-geared that clutch to reduce boost, and thereby horsepower. They would also have to change the injectors/fuel racks to reduce fueling, otherwise the engines would smoke heavily, carbon-up, choke ...

Outstanding video! I'd almost forgotten how nice it was to see something other than black GE widebodies pulling stack trains... I'd go back to these days in a heartbeat.
