These videos of my daughter are to facilitate consistency between all the people working with her, including her teachers at school and, of course, the people working with her at home.
I also hope that these videos help others--parents, especially--who work with autistic individuals. The videos are purposely "unpolished". I hope to record good and bad examples of therapy as they happen, especially the "how to get out of a bind" examples. I could never seem to find *those* kinds of videos to learn from when I needed them.
I've been trained in applied behavior analysis, though I am not a BCBA. However, I do consult with a BCBA for my daughter's program.
My daughter is now a teenager--uncharted territory on so many levels! There is not a lot of information out there for parents of autistic adolescents. I hope that these videos will provide some insight into this area, as well.
