@Pinworm4 I think Doyle was figuring that Tom would not all a raise at the end unless he could beat Doyle (with a higher ace or full house). If Doyle raised at the end, Dwan would either fold (in which case Doyle makes no more money) or reraise him (represent a full house (maybe 9s full of aces)...
