people are so blatantly ignorant. she is educated and grew up in NYC and made this song as she was getting more discovered to impress a new record label. she killed it, and the song is actually about her experiences being surrounded, growing up, by people who are trying so hard to get discovered that they sacrifice themselves and their brand.
