Sokolov is the most magnificent musician of our time. Whether he's performing Stravinsky, Brahms or whomever, he is able to convey the deepest, darkest, most private, the most profound human emotions conceived by the composer using his brilliant technique for that sole purpose.

This live performance proves, once again, the magnificent musicianship and mastery of Grigori Sokolov. The music goes to the very core of human emotions, and Sokolov uses his brilliant technique, part of which, of course is the ability to create a superb color palette, for the sole purpose of con...

Your explanation of breaking down the run is appreciated. However, it would be great if you kept the names of the notes in the key of B flat instead of calling a note e.g. C# when it's really Db and so on to stay faithful to the key in which you're forming the run.

One should not put Sokolov and Lang Lang even in the same sentence. Sokolov is the greatest musician of our time. Lang Lang is, at best, a showman. (See the grotesque video of LL playing this Prokofiev 3rd mvt at some world economics conference.)
