What happened to instrumental interludes in songs? Is it because the young listeners are too impatient, radio station programmers limiting songs to 4 minutes? Or is it just because most modern songs lack the instrumental depth to make an interlude enjoyable?

@dudeimcool43 that is very debatable. Their a lot of people on the my list of smartest rappers before I get to Pac. Black Thought, Dead Prez, Chuck D., and I could go on. He may well be the smartest rapper that had long term mainstream success that I wouldn't argue with.

Someone really needs to make a video for this song. It is such a great narrative it doesn't need one but it would be nice to see. The song is great but I would really have love a verse between the 1st and 2nd.

That is what rap is supposed to be about. Story tellin' and you should have a story worth telling before you grab the mic in the studio. This song an example of rap as an art form instead of rap that is just talking incoherent crap over a party background track.

Very tired use of the same instrument/synthesizer combination we have been hearing the last 10 years from numerous R&B/Hip Hop artist. Vocals nice but there are tons of singers out there with nice vocals. Congrats to her getting healthy and losing weight. But musically I am disappointed.

Very disturbing to see middle age women sing those lyrics although it sounds good. Next request "When the Doves Cry" now that would entertaining, good and creepy at the same time too.

Never heard the original version of the this song before I heard this version by Nota. I can't believe they turned that song into something I actually would want to listen to more than once.

We need a show like this to show people how sorry popular music is these days. Of course we have few exceptions/almost miracles that break through in spite of greedy music industry decision makers using Big Mac carbon copy logic that stifles creativity.
