Hey, this is Mix, say hello from the Panda city Chengdu.

Before opening Mix Hostel, I was a traveler as well, I was always looking for a home-stay style lodge wherever I traveled to, because that was the best way to understand the local culture, cheap and, the most important thing, it makes me feel home after traveling a while alone.

I stayed in many guest houses or hostels before in Asia, until i felt that it was time to 'graduate' then I started my own little place for backpackers.

I surely know that, as a backpacker, we always want to stay in a place which is 'convenient', that means, easy to get around(better in downtown), interesting places nearby, cultural activity and even more, so, I was trying to locate my little place to meet the following criteria:

1. Definitely in downtown, where you can easily replenish your supply, do shopping, ATMs closeby, and enjoy the convenience of the city.

2. Good location. Mix Hostel is across the river to city's best preserved historic old quarter-Wenshu Temple and it's characteristic surrounding. So you will never feel like you are living in the 'MIDDLE OF NOWHERE'. Moreover, the bus routes are so developed, bus stops near hostel can bring you to all the tourist spots around the city. Last, the famous hotpot restaurant, Sichuan cruising restaurant and tea house are within a stone-throw-distance.

3. Stay in Mix Hostel you won't feel like staying in ordinary hotel which is cold and boring, instead, you can easily meet travelers in our atmospheric lobby, watch movie for free in DVD room, use internet for free (Wifi available ), borrow books for free from our library and enjoy weekly organized cultural activities such like the popular 'Family Dumpling Night' for free!- all our guests making dumpling for our dinner together and take a sip of traditional alcohol !

Anyhow, I just want to give away all my joys that I had experienced on road in the past to my guests, and welcome to visit us!
