@megalodonNL no worries. I was just lost in frustration of what I wanted to get or use. Too many DAW's to pick from. The best advice I've seen online is "pick a daw and stick with it!". And Reaper was my choice.

Ok, say if I set an effect on a single track before the recording. Reverb for an example. While I record do I hear the reverb effect while its recording? Or do I record dry first and then put the effect over it? Sorry if this is confusing.

I just got a tascam US-800. $100. Has 6 similtaneous inputs. I put it together with this software and it's awesome! Can pick up on the different inputs recording them to separate tracks.

Hey great video man. When I plug mine into the pc using usb it picks everything up but the sound? So while I am playing my guitar I can hear the sound through the tascam and not my computer speakers? I just got it a few a days ago.

@dyldoemackinson Actually, Tosin plays his 8-string in standard tuning. The 2 lower strings are tuned low because of the gauge.

No problem man. I just ordered a DR-5 last week. Waiting for it to come in. My band did a whole album with it. We only used the drums and synth everything else was instruments. Let me know if you have anything laying around that hasn't been touched in awhile.
