The first segment reminded me of Arvo Part's "Fratres," a piece used in the soundtrack to "There Will Be Blood." The second segment sounded a bit like Copland's Americana output or some of Lukas Foss's work, though the two sections dovetailed seamlessly. Again, I stand amazed, sir!
