About this user
In 2006, John Paul Mitchell understood that his future held a run for the gubernatorial seat of Arizona. This realization came as a natural result of the understandings he had developed through his personal and professional experiences.Whether it was learning team work on the ball field, or exploring Arizonas treasures such as Flagstaff, Mormon Lake and the Grand Canyon, it was these experiences that gave him an understanding of the flavor of Arizona and the people who call it home.
At 16, John first began developing his tireless work ethic, working as an umpire for the City of Glendales Recreation Department. He was soon recognized as a competent worker and took on additional administrative and data entry duties enabling him his first taste for the operations side of the community service branch of government. This humble beginning sparked the fire that would become his desire to achieve the top position of public service in the state of Arizona.
Throughout his professional and educational life John has built his understanding of the economy and how the credit/debt cycle can work effectively for people when used properly and how devastating it can be when it is abused as Customer Relations Manager for Discover Card. John's work experience has been vital to his insight into the countrys current economic environment. He understands the issues facing individuals, the history behind our current political and economic situation, and has a unique perspective regarding the mechanism that got us to this position and where we can go from here. It has become abundantly clear to John that with the current economic stress, abusive, out of control federal spending, and the state of our political climate, now is the time to begin working on restoring Arizona and the nation to its constitutional values, while simultaneously creating a brighter Arizona.
John is running for Governor of Arizona because he feels now is the perfect time for ordinary citizens to speak up and reclaim their governments. For too long, we've continually elected career politicians into office, forgetting the roots of our great nation. Ordinary citizens just like ourselves started this great country and took it upon themselves to fill leadership roles. John is running so he can give the government back to the people.
Johns campaign is contingent upon four basic principles. These principles are:
* Eliminating state taxes;
* Improving education for every child through providing legitimate alternatives to traditional state-run public education;
* Boosting the economy through the reinvestment of government funds into economically stimulating projects, and;
* Protecting the Constitutional rights of every man, woman, and child regardless of ethnic background, nationality, or religious and social beliefs
As an Independent candidate, Johns campaign is not backed by the veteran political operatives within the Democratic and Republican parties. Because of this, volunteerism is vital to his campaign. By volunteering, you open the door to a chance at making lasting friendships and interacting with members of your community, all while helping ensure a brighter future for Arizona and its citizens. Simply making a phone call or having a short conversation with your neighbor can help further the message of John's campaign, ultimately bringing John one step closer to a revolutionary win in November of 2010. Every volunteer is a critical asset to ensuring John's candidacy.
