I have been a baptized Eastern Orthodox Christian since I was 7. I have just recently awoken from the slumber of an evil and drug addicted life, by the Providence and mercy of Christ.

Physical, earthly life is meaningless without God and Jesus Christ. A lot of people today cannot understand this because they are imprisoned in this earthly existence.
If they could only taste the sweet Grace of the Holy Spirit of God, they would never want anything else and count it all as dross and rubbish.

I always thought that this life and world could bring true happiness to my soul, but it can't and it never will because man was made for God and for the eternal life.

Man is so ignorant and they don't understand that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the Universe. They do not see the terrible consequences of turning their backs from God and their sins against God.
People don't want to believe that the Devil is real and that if you are an ally and friend of the world, then you are an enemy of God (James 4:4) and an enemy of God has no eternal life abiding in him.

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." (1John 2:15)

"And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever" (1 John 2:17)

Earthly minded man thinks that denying the world will destroy them, but Christ our God says,
"For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village." (Luke 9:56)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

Jesus Christ is the Truth, (John 14:6) while the Devil is a liar.(John 8:44)

The Eastern Orthodox Church is the Original and true Christian church... All of the other churches are just watered down and poisoned versions of the Eastern Orthodox Church...this is the Church founded by Peter and Paul, and the same one that gave the entire world the Biblical Canon (that is, they decided which books of the Bible were legitimate, and which were fakes) Thus, it is the foundation of Christianity and the main stalk of every single church which has tried to put its name under the word "Christian"

The Eastern Orthodox Church is the only church in which Christianity can be fully realized and lived. We have over 7 Sacraments, the Holy Saints and Writings of the Church Fathers and Saints. And it is the only church which has always correctly interpreted the Bible in the way that the Holy Spirit has Inspired the Prophets and all of the Saints throughout the ages.

You cannot truly live in communion with God without the Holy Mysteries, being an Eastern Orthodox Christian and living in the way that all of the original and correct Christians have lived, right down to the Apostles themselves.

How old is the Orthodox faith? If you are a Lutheran, your religion was founded by Martin Luther, an ex-monk of the Catholic Church, in the year 1517. If you belong to the Church of England, your religion was founded by King Henry VIII in the year 1534 because the Pope would not grant him a divorce with the right to re-marry. If you are a Presbyterian, your religion was founded by John Knox in Scotland in the year 1560. If you are a Congregationalist, your religion was originated by Robert Brown in Holland in 1582. If you are Protestant Episcopalian, your religion was an offshoot of the Church of England, founded by Samuel Senbury in the American colonies in the 17th century. If you are a Baptist, you owe the tenets of your religion to John Smyth, who launched it in Amsterdam in 1606. If you are of the Dutch Reformed Church, you recognize Michelis Jones as founder because he originated your religion in New York in 1628. If you are a Methodist, your religion was founded by John and Charles Wesley in England in 1774. If you are a Mormon (Latter Day Saints), Joseph Smith started your religion in Palmyra, New York, in 1829. If you worship with the Salvation Army, your sect began with William Booth in London in 1865. If you are Christian Scientist, you look to 1879 as the year in which your religion was born and to Mary Baker Eddy as its founder. If you belong to one of the religious organizations known as "Church of the Nazarene, Pentecostal Gospel," "Holiness Church," or "Jehovah's Witnesses," your religion is one of the hundreds of new sects founded by men within the past hundred years. If you are Roman Catholic, your church shared the same rich apostolic and doctrinal heritage as the Orthodox Church for the first thousand years of its history, since during the first millennium they were one and the same Church. Lamentably, in 1054, the Pope of Rome broke away from the other four Apostolic Patriarchates (which include Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch and Jerusalem), by tampering with the Original Creed of the Church, and considering himself to be infallible. Thus your church is 1,000 years old. If you are Orthodox Christian, your religion was founded in the year 33 by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It has not changed since that time. Our church is now almost 2,000 years old. And it is for this reason, that Orthodoxy, the Church of the Apostles and the Fathers is considered the true "one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church." This is the greatest legacy that we can pass on to the young people of the new millennium. by Rev. Dr. Miltiades Efthimiou

Remember Your Baptismal Vows Holy Baptism is like a door by which those that are baptized enter into the holy Church and become fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God (Eph. 2:19). And not just so, but before Baptism there are renunciations and vows: 1. We then renounced Satan and all his evil works. Satan is a wicked and evil spirit. He was created good by God, but he and those of like mind with him apostasized from Him, and so from light they became dark, and from good they became evil and wicked. His works are idolatry, pride, adultery, prodigality, all uncleanliness, slander, blasphemy and every sin; for he is the inventor of sin, and he beguiled our ancestors in paradise and led them into sin and apostasy from God. We renounce this wicked spirit and all his evil works before Baptism. 2. We renounce every vanity, pride and pomp of this world, as ones called to and renewed for everlasting life. 3. We promise to serve Christ the Son of God in faith and in truth together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and to follow in His footsteps. 4. Thus we establish a covenant between God and us. We, who have renounced Satan, promise to serve God and be faithful to him. God accepts us in His supreme mercy and promises us an inheritance in everlasting life and the Kingdom, and washes us who are defiled by sin in the laver of Baptism. He sanctifies and justifies us, as the priest says over everyone who is baptized, Thou art washed, thou art sanctified, thou art justified (cf. I Cor. 6:11). Keep in mind those vows of yours, and this will guide you toward the Christian life and restrain you from every evil and do you good. If you notice that you do not keep those vows, then repent and begin the Christian life anew, lest you appear before God in a lie, and perish with liars. The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Apoc. 21:8).(A chapter from The Journey to Heaven, translated by Fr. George Lardas)

hello brother. I like the christianity you preach it is very sound doctrine from what I see. Something that bothers me a lot about my walk with christ is that I am very anti-zionist. I believe they are trying to get rid of white people in our European homelands by stealth.

If a war were to start is it ok for a believer to take the life of his enemy if by not doing so his land will be turned over to devils? I know that in the old days that christian warriors defended their homeland and it is only recently that the judeo-christians make us pacified. Christ came to fulfil the old testament not to be contrary to it, therfore I believe we can and must at times war against our enemies.

I believe you can still do this and turn the other cheek and love thy enemy also. When you are not in battle rather than what the enemy does which is to try and chip away at you, you can treat them honorably in spite of them not doing the same to you. What do you think on this?

Concerning Father Seraphim's talk:
I uploaded this talk here in 2007. I contacted Saint Herman's Monastery and asked about this (since they hold the copyright to it), and they asked me to remove it. And they thanked me for asking. They hold the copyright. God does not ask us to break the law.
