Maureen Kellar, a Scorpio, aka Ministargazer, first became interested in astrology and the occult in her teenage years when she studied the Rosicrucian teachings and began to realize their inherent truth. She began to study the works of C.E.O. Carter, Sakoian and Acker and M.E. Hone and accumulate a library of astrology books.
During 1972, at the age of nineteen, after a séance near Perth, Ontario that she conducted privately, she began to experience a range of psychic phenomena that led to music, which she channeled spontaneously, some of which she believes, may have originated from a past life reincarnation as a black, blues musician who lived and died in the U.S.A. during World War 2 and others which were more religious in nature. She feels that the religious songs may have been angelically inspired or influenced by a past Lemurian lifetime.
This illumination impelled her to travel to the U.S.A. and Mexico in search of reincarnation memories. Upon return she assembled a manuscript that was converted to a movie script. To this she added the music soundtrack which originated from the channeling sessions and was later recorded by Dan Lanois at Master Sound Recording Studio. She began to market this script in Hollywood at Pitch Fests in 2005.
During the early 1970s she appeared on CKWS Radio in Kingston, Ontario with Floyd Patterson and went on to teach astrology at the YWCA in Hamilton. After moving to Calgary in 1984 she taught astrology at Western Canada High School for Continuing Education and practiced privately, attending Calgary Astrology Group meetings.
Following an interest in early childhood education, she completed studies at Mount Royal College to obtain a diploma in Early Childhood and Daycare Worker Certification. Developing her musical talents further, she played keyboards in several Calgary bands and sat in at The King Edward Hotel jam sessions Calgarys Home of the Blues.
From 1994 to 2006 she worked part-time on psychic telephone lines in both Canada and the U.S.A. while also working with children in daycare.
