Really need to work on the feet, though, esp, the working leg. Not seeing so much sickling as flapping in the breeze. Yuh, it was a good day when I could do a double! But the feet can be polished (maybe try a different shoe?), the attack taught; some of this virtuosity is God-given.

Very well-played mad scene. You *see* her seeing the Wilis and almost crossing the line into their world. Hilarion seems villainous earlier, but both he and Albrecht project the sense of tragic loss: "No, this wasn't supposed to happen like this." So glad more of Obraztsova's work is being posted...

I have been waiting since I was 8 years old to see *any* of this ballet. My mom took me to see RB (did get to see Fonteyn and "that new guy," ie Nureyev in Swan Lake). Somehow, I came to believe that the ballets highlighted for that tour in the fancy program were the only ballets in the universe....

Agree on feeling what I've seen of this perf is badly edited, although they did a nice job with Guerin. Platel's variations have a lot of shots where you see torso and face when you know feet and legs are doing something you want to see. Nothing will *ever* make me like this version of the dance ...
