My younger daughter is soo Irish, you can't even believe it. She's fire-and-ice passionate and writes like bloody James Joyce! It's nice to meet you through these several vids. I like your style. I picked up bass in the early 80's and I admired Mick Karn and Pino Palladino back in the day - but I went the way of the fretted bass. It's interesting to see Mick's technique shown here. He had an interesting style which made Japan a hard act to get signed (A&R men thought he couldn't play). Thanks for posting. I like your light hearted approach.

Excellent. Thank you so much for breaking it down. This is one of my all time favorite songs and the bass is beyond amazing in it. I've been a fan of Garys for many years. And he came to Austin, Texas during the I ASSASSIN Tour. I was able to meet him and Pino & got both their autographs. I'll never forget it, and I still have the autographs. ;-)

Love your channel, great videos. I wish I could play bass, such a cool instrument, thanks to Mick Karn I've came to appreciate the bass just as much as the vocals of a band.
