I'm a white girl with a love for Indian Classical Dance and Bollywood/South Indian cinema. When I discovered the various forms of Indian Classical Dance, I was completely enthralled- I'd never heard of them and had never seen those types of movements. The varied hand gestures and beautiful angular lines made by the body were fascinating! I find these dance forms incredibly unique and wish more people in the West knew about them. I think Odissi is my favorite form because of its femininity and flowing, curved movements. I dabble a bit in practicing what I see from videos but it's mostly for my own enjoyment. :D
I do post clips I've ripped from DVDs hoping to bring more quality videos of Indian Classical Dance to YouTube and, well, the world!

My top favorite South Asian DVD retailer is nehaflix.com. Others: Kalakendra.com (nice), JayQ (bootleg), AnyTamil.com (mostly originals, some copies).
