Our Mission

The City of Lights Chorus is dedicated to achieving the maximum enjoyment of close-harmony a Capella singing in the Barbershop style by achieving the highest level of singing and performing quality as determined by our membership, our audiences, the community seeking live entertainment and competition results.

We believe everyone deserves to experience the joy, the camaraderie and the uniqueness that Barbershop Singing offers thousands of men throughout the world.

Our History

We have been under the direction of Scott Fewell since October 2003. There were eight of us singing that first month. After two years of hard work and building membership, we now have 35 men singing. In April of 2006, we placed 2ND in the Division Contest in Phoenix, AZ. We also qualified to compete in the 2006 Far Western District Contest in San Jose, CA.

The City of Lights chorus is proud to be part of the Far Western District, one of the largest and most active of the 16 Districts comprising the Barbershop Harmony Society. Our society is a non-profit organization with the purpose of preserving the unique American art form known as Barbershop Singing.

Our Vision

The City of Lights Chorus will continue to grow, striving constantly in an atmosphere of fun and fraternity for musical and performing excellence, with a goal to perform regularly for the public and reach-out to those under-served by live entertainment in the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding areas.

Our Purpose and Goals

The result has been a chorus and quartets that can continue to grow, prosper, and bring enjoyment and entertainment to our schools and Seniors unreserved by live entertainment in the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding areas.
