i'm passionate about wanting to help prevent suicide, in whatever way i can. i have lost friends and mates over the years, and i am increasingly frustrated that this is one issue that seemingly is swept under the carpet, rather than discussed, so it might be understtod. i get that reporting might lead to copycats in a handful of cases, but in terms of the broader community, the benefits far outweigh the negatives. wouldnt it help if we could understand how kids could take their own lives coz of bullying [physical or cyber]; how fathers weighed down by shame, debt or depression could do the same; how anyone could decide that the pain of living is too much, and choose death instead?
PLEASE HELP ME - i want to make a doco that speaks to people stuck in this pain; people who are grieving their loved ones; and people who have been close to the edge, and then found hope.
i need people who are willing to tell their story on camera.
