Excellent tune and great playing! Thank You for the music, Jack. How many years have you been playing the diatonic accordion? Do you play from instinct as you go?

Excellent! One of the best sounding diatonic accordion I've ever listened to on YouTube. Phantastic playing. Who did the conversion and tuning to DG?

I started this YouTube account to promote my accordion videos. I bought my first accordion, a diatonic Saltarelle Bouebe B/C in 2005, and I started learning Irish Traditional Music (ITM), reels and jigs, but I found ITM very difficult/hard to start with. I gave up soon and I did not touch my accordion for a number of years. Then in 2007 I fell in love with Cajun music and I bought a Jr Martin (Made in Louisiana) Cajun box (in C). I've learned a handful of tunes and I was quite happy with my progress, but playing Cajun music in isolation (here in Hungary) is not really a fun.I always loved French traditional (village) music and in 2009 September placed an order for a Chromatic Button Accordion (CBA) from Cooperfisa. The waiting was three months and I thought that I give a chance to learn a G/C diatonic accordion while waiting for the CBA. I bought an inexpensive Hohner G/C (Pokerwork) accordion and two tutor books by Yann Dour and Alain Pennec. This was the best decision so far in my accordion story: learning the 2-row quint/quart tuned diatonic accordion with simple tunes is really fun. Soon I discovered English melodeon music and I bought a Hohner ADG Compadre and tutor books (by Dave Mallinson and Maggie Moore). My CBA arrived just before 2009 Christmas, and since then I cannot put it down. I could not decide which accordions I like best: G/C, ADG or the CBA. I'd like to share tunes, ideas, thoughts and experiences with other people learning the diatonic or chromatic button accordion.
Excellent music! I am very much interested in your tablature. I have contacted you via melodeon dot net.
