@omarphi215 Yes sir, they will play mpc files. The only reason I say that mpc's are dead to me is because how long it takes to use the mpc compared to the maschine. Also all the NI products work very well together..Buy Komplete 8 ultimate and you will not need anything else

@zipproductionz USB cord is included. If you want to run midi into other channels you will need a midi cable . You could even run midi to usb with a midi to usb cord..

Here is a response to most of these questions.. BUY ONE. If you want to be 100% more efficient for under 1000$ then definatly buy one.. Greatest invention since the mpc itself..The only difference is the maschine is way more user friendly ..

Just my opinion but kontrol x1 is more than enough for someone with a turntable or cdj setup..
