The protesters could have walked away up until the last second and they didn't.

They semi-volunteered to be mis-treated.

The police decision to use the pepper spray was entirely voluntary.

I am very impressed by the crowd's behavior afterwards.

There are some songs that are about the human cost of war.

They aren't dove or hawk songs..

That kind of recognizes the horrors of war, regardless of its necessity.

And they honor the soldiers who live in that horror.

Thank you for posting this, I had no idea that Johnny sang songs like this.

@Vurtuskock That reminds me of a story that Utah Phillips told.

It seems that at one point Utah had a decision to make about a record contract and Pete told Utah, "Yeah, they always talk about the good that can be done with their dirty money."
