According to the history of Dago Red, it started out as a P-51D. Now, I'd say it is more Dago Red than Mustang.

I was on the team that developed the M60. If memory serves me 20 years on, it stalls just north of 110 knots. Remember the wing is almost the same as that on the M31 weighing a lot less that the M60. Most of the Learjet folks around in the 90s consider the M60 to be the last "real" Learjet.
