Ohio University Marching 110 LMFAO Party Rock Anthem

Ohio University Marching 110 performing LMFAO's song "Party Rock Anthem"

Saturday Oct. 1, 2011 at Peden Stadium.

    mikeeiland1 mikeeiland1 commented:

Also meant to mention I really, really liked when the drummers were allowed to stop playing --- yet the horns managed to keep interest in the tune without them while the drummers did their thing. This is even more awesome after several plays. Think I'll go to a game just to see the band!

    mikeeiland1 mikeeiland1 commented:

This episode was so good and well-loved by CBS that it was allowed to run 15 minutes overtime and cut into "The U.S. Steel Hour" on November 6, 1957. Luckily the "Steel Hour" was a live production and all parties agreed let "Lucy" cut their episode, "The Locked Door" (with June Lockhart, Ralph Be...

Amen newarkboy22! I bought the Whispers single called "A Mother For My Children" in early 1974 and discovered this on the flip side of it. In the fall of 1974 "What More Can A Girl Ask For" was put out as the lead song with a different flip side called "Broken Home". My copy of the single is s...

I have this record but it's on a red label. Sounds just like this. It's a Bell record too I believe. I had it out on Memorial Weekend playing it. It's the original my dad bought in June 1970. He bought it without having heard it first because he liked the previous record called Didn't I. We...

You've Been My Inspiration - Main Ingredient - STEREO

Summer of 1970. One of the most beautiful love songs ever....

Amazing production quality for that period.....

    mikeeiland1 mikeeiland1 commented:

I had just turned 16 in June of 1970. Heard this song on our local Top 40 FM station WNCI. Our soul station was an AM. WNCI had an amazingly diverse chart called "The Hot Half-Hundred". I still have those charts. With this song are Trying To Make A Fool Of Me-Delfonics, Maybe-Three Degrees, So...

I remember seeing this group at some small event in Columbus, OH in July 1970. WNCI, a pop station here sponsored it. Nice interpolation of The Meters' "Hand Clapping Song" from 1970. Look that song up on YouTube and see if you agree. Nice work. Group has a penchant for giving you a ballad and a dance song in one recording.

    mikeeiland1 mikeeiland1 commented:

Some episodes they feel comfortable leaving it in, sometimes not. The word aired on AITF for Lionel's engagement. It was important to the storyline and perfect shock value. Here Sanford uses it twice but it's VERY funny. It's always edited on Nick. Destroys it. It really depends on how it's used...

Music video by Michael Jackson performing Beat It. © 1982 MJJ Productions Inc.

    mikeeiland1 mikeeiland1 commented:

I like the camera moves 4:37 to 4:40. Kind of looks like the camera almost loses Michael for a second but quickly recovers. Always noticed that back in the day but it happened so fast. It's a little thing but it enhances his dance move at that point and it makes the video interesting overall.

JAMES BROWN & THE JB's If You Don't Get It The First Time

A James Brown track from 1973.

    mikeeiland1 mikeeiland1 commented:

I always liked the way James Brown corrected an error by the band during this recording. After JB gives his "do it to death intro" the band members inadvertently say "If you don't do it the first time...". And right on the beat (and politely) JB says "Get it!". Then you hear them change it to...
