Sabre Marketing Corporation of America
Sabre is a marketing, promotions and advertising Company headquartered in Michigan.
Sabre is owned and operated by Michael Reese and his wife Paula Reese.
Michael Reese formerly owned and operated Mars Advertising Company from 1973 to 1981 and Publishing Corporation of America from 1985 to 1993.
Mike has been in the marketing business since attending college at Drake University in Des Moines where as a student he served as advertising manager for 25 Super Valu Stores the Des Moines trading area.
After graduation, Mike served as Captain and Training Officer for the 87th fighter interceptor squadron in the USAF stationed in Columbus, Ohio where he also attended graduate school at Ohio State University.
In 1956 Mike joined Jewel Food Stores in Chicago as advertising manager creating and producing POS, Outdoor, Newspaper and Television advertising. While at Jewel Mike worked on post graduate studies at The Illinois Institute Of Design.
In 1962 Mike joined the Post Division of General Foods in Battle Creek, as national promotions manager, planning and executing promotions in over 200 markets.
When the Post operation moved to New York, Mike remained in Michigan as Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Farmer Jack Supermarkets, Arnold Drug Stores, Yankee Department Stores and The Quaker Maid Dairy Companies.
In 1953, Mike opened Mars Advertising Company in Michigan serving clients including
Coca Cola, Del Monte, General Electric. Black and Decker, Hunt Wesson, Armour Dial, Pepsi Cola, Scott Paper, Star Kist, Kohls, Pantry Pride, Wegmans, Super Valu, Wetteral, Fleming, IGA and several other nationally known manufacturing and retailing corporations.
In 1981, Mike served as marketing consultant to Darcy Advertising Inc. working on new business development and contributing on accounts such as GM, Whirlpool, P&G and Budweiser.
In 1986, Mike opened Publishing Corporation of America in Michigan working in concert with Meredith Publishings Better Homes & Gardens Division in Des Moines. PCA produced customized full color BH&G type magazines for retailers such as Kmart, Tops, A&P, Super Valu, Purity Supreme, IGA, Albertsons and Spartan.
The PCA name was changed to Sabre Marketing in 1994. From 1994 to the present Sabre
has operated as a full service marketing, promotions and advertising company with associates in Houston, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Chicago and The Detroit Area.
