I began playing the drums in February of 2008 on my friend Aaron's kit over at our mutual friend Robert's house. It was life changing for me and set me on a path that I should have been following a long time ago.

Words cannot begin to describe how immensely I regret not starting the drums when I was younger.

I began to practice every day between 2-5 hours a day. I started working overnights so I could practice during the day with Robert.

During that first year I would go to work, get off at 8am, sleep until about noon, go over to Roberts and jam til about 5-6 then I'd go over to this dude named Mill's house who built his own studio in his garage.

There I'd practice with a rotating assortment of musicians who would cruise through the studio. I also met my most important drum instructor thus far, Brad Stewart.

On the weekends I would pack up my kit and practice at my bassist friend Rogers for a few hours.

This was my routine for the first year. After that first year I'd built up enough chops for Robert and I to start working on our own material. This led to the creation of Molock. Molock proved to be more ambitious than practical and we could never find a bassist that worked out.

After about 2 years of Molock we decided to throw everything out and reform into Corporate Elvis.

About a year ago I started going over to 4playerpodcast to broadcast more regularly though I've known David and Nick since before 4pp existed. In fact I sold Nick his copy of RE4.

The music game is really hard - there is no easy mode. It's my main quest in life and I thank you for listening to CE and my acoustic stuff.

Hopefully one day I'll actually able be able to do this for real.
