Karsh Kale is an American musician, producer and composer who has made a name as leading figure in the world of global fusion. By mixing disparate genres of music such as Indian classical and folk with electronica, rock, pop and ambient music, Karsh's sound has help define the club phenomenon dubbed in the late nineties as ( Asian Massive, Asian Underground ).. Karsh is also best known for his 4 solo recordings Realize, Liberation, Broken English and Cinema on Six Degrees Records as well as recording collaborations Tabla Beat Science and Breathing Under Water . Karsh's many talents as a world class tabla player and drummer, songwriter, remix artist, DJ have led him to work with some of the top artists in world representing a cross section of many genres including Zakir Hussain, Sting, Paul Oakenfold Ravi Shankar, Bill Laswell, Herbie Hancock, Lenny Kravitz, Dj Spooky, Sultan Khan, Midival Punditz, Anoushka Shankar and Shekhar Kapur to name a few. As of recent, Kale's work has become focused on the world of film. In the past few years Kale has scored films for Bollywood and Independent crossover films such as Dum Maaro Dum (Fox, Sippy Productions), Ashes (Front Stoop, Ajay Naidu), Karthik Calling Karthik,Excel, Vijay Lalwani'. Kale has also performed around the world with his own groups as well as a guest and continues to push his sound in every direction possible.
