softwear is not nearly as tactile
hardwear you can have your hands moving and doing maipulations
i used softwear for yars and after getting my first synth i feel like the musicality is so much more

and that would be because you can use the 2 little knobs labled s1 and s2 to send individual samples to your masters auxilery effects for aux 1 and 2
it is quite useful when your 2 lazy to connect each drum indiviualy
