I fear for America's future. This nation hasn't had a great President since Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, and John F. Kennedy were in office. Take care of youself. Heaven keep you too, dear gal. Best -W

To the members of this band - have you ever considered composing music for a movie soundtrack? All the very best to you all -- W

I believe that Joanne McClure was a model who tried to break into acting back in the 1960s. Yeah, I agree with you on Little Steven's show. He's been trying out new bands on his show, but, he still plays a few obscure old tunes from time-to-time. I like the way Steven presents the music (with a bit of history, et al). I'll still listen to Steven's show since there's nothing like it (or better) on FM, these days. Best -- W

Bravo! -- A big fan of Johnny M. (so was my late and eternally-beloved wife, Barb). Each time I play "The Twelfth of Never" (by Johnny Mathis) I pray and hope My Barbra Rose can hear it from Heaven. David Robbins is fantastic! God keep him (and Johnny M.). Thanks for submitting this!

Thank you, for the prompt reply. I will just hold out for the time when I'm reunited with My Barbra Rose. She means that much to me. I lost Barbra when I needed her most. I'm getting too old and too broke to look for anyone else. Barbra accepted me -- just as I was. I knew that Barbra was in bad health when we initially met. Her cancer was in remission, she had type two diabetes, and knee problems. I wanted to marry her anyway. I have absolutely no regrets. I hope to be with Barb again very soon.

Hi Jasmin. It seems that we can all go "home" again -- but, at what price? This episode has staying power because we all long for a better place and time. To my mind, Willoughby is another name for Heaven (and My Eternal Love, My Barbra Rose, waits for me there). In a big way, I'm glad for the main character in this episode. Best -- W

To me, this gal is like Brenda Lee -- darned pretty and so very talented. Wanda worked with some of the greatest names in sound. I pray and hope that Wanda Jackson and Brenda Lee are around for a good while longer.

Dimension-wise, yeah, they are similar (some would say too similar). I don't know the overall difference is in regards to wheelbase, but, they look to be nearly alike. The Bolt and the HD 883 have a low seat pan, so riders with short legs won't have a problem touching the pavement. Ride safe.

A great old "B" movie here. I remember seeing it as a kid. Bad guys on the lamb run afoul of something far more monstrous than themselves. Of course, Quentin Tarantino got his idea for From Dusk To Dawn from this flick. Thanks, for posting this.

Remarkable! Remember this, Krishna, if anyone ever bad-mouths your work: Willis O'Brien, Ray Harryhausen, and Art Clokey were "amateurs" once, as well. Keep on doing what you like best and make it your life's work! Best -- W

The way that light and shadow played on the Rhedosaurus as it made its way through the buildings of NYC was something I really liked about The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms. Fantastic attention to detail. Oh yeah, the dino in that flick was great too! Ray's dinos are some of the best -- ever! Heaven is yours, Ray H!

I've followed this great man's amazing career ever since I saw The Might Joe Young and The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms. I spoke once with a friend (a paleontologist) who told me that Ray's dinosaurs were his source of inspiration. A tremendous artist who will be missed by those who dreams of flying horses and sword-wielding skeletons battling mythical heroes. Along with Ray Bradbury, find your place in Heaven, Ray H. You certainly found a place in our collective hearts and imaginations. Ray H -RIP

Simply fantastic. For anyone who remembers Analog and Omni magazine (and, for those who read Juxtapoz). After this, I think I'll cue up D-Rider by Hawkwind and Eight Miles High (the version by The Thought). Thank you, for submitting this!

I agree. Moreover, Charlie Chaplin and others formed United Artists so he and other great actors could have some control over the quality of the finished product. Possibly, like Cary Grant, Chaplin saw the old studio system as a hindrance, in not only earning an Oscar, but also in having less artistic control in regards to how films were made. The same for Orson Welles. This is one of my favorite movies - ever. Best -- W

The pent-roof combustion chambers and the four-valve heads help performance a lot. Now, if only someone would develop some decent street performance cams for this thing. Possible chopper material here. A Frisco-mounted tank would look boss (if you can find a place for all the stuff under the stock tank). There are a lot of possibilities regarding customization with this bike. I hope they sell. Ride safe.

I wish Yam would have engineered this bike with a gear-driven counterbalancer (as with the Roadliner and Raider). It's got a REAL "pulse" baby! The mirrors blur at speed (but, what the hell -- it's a v-twin). It also needs a bit more top speed roll-on power. Maybe, the aftermarket will offer up cams, taller front belt pulleys, et al, for this machine. It also needs a bigger gas tank and the rear shocks give a harsh ride (on the non-R-Spec model, that is). Again -- aftermarket? Ride safe.
-
Walt Fechter commented 1 week ago
I'm gonna wait to see how they sell and what is offered by the aftermarket (cams, pipes, et al). They have a "pulse," baby. They launch well and power through the gears well enough. A bit more roll-on power wouldn't be bad. The R-Spec has better rear suspension. The regular model rides a bit harsh in the rear. I should know what makes up ride quality -- I rode rigid-framed choppers and dressers for a good while. I rode a Bolt earlier this week. Prospective chopper material here.

King tone - from start to finish. Lyrics and vocals that can melt the core of an iceberg. Keyboards and bass that exude righteousness to the Nth degree. Percussion that is crisp and precise. Guitar that says, "this was built to groove." I dedicate this one in very loving memory of my eternal love - My Barbra Rose. I hope she can hear this (and all the other songs we shared) from Heaven. STEVE MARRIOTT - RIP

I dig Edge of Night and The Light Ride. Still, a great album from a truly fantastic band. Next up: Baby Woodrose (Dandelion) The Urges (I Gotta Wait), The Young Sinclairs (Hurt My Pride), The Thought (Eight Miles High) Electric Prunes (their first lp), The Blues Magoos (the Psychedelic Lollypop lp), and Jefferson Airplane (DCBA -25). Stay frosty, good people.
