@Seanatonin Not exactly; Curt had not so long ago dropped the AWA title (which he'd won fron Nick Bocwinkle). He was on a more well lit stage in the WWF, but in my opinion, was well on his way to Pro Wrestling glory from his AWA days.

@steph2buysell The big difference is that the belt was still respected when Hogan held it compared to now. I excused the WWF for leaving the strap on Hogan for so long because of the IC belt and the skilled wrestlers that held it.
