Michelin has been around since 1889. Michelin Americas Truck Tires (MATT) is the commercial truck tire division of Michelin North America. It provides top quality tires, services and information for over-the-road, regional, urban, on/off road and recreational vehicle (RV) applications.

Radial tire technology, patented by Michelin in 1946, was adapted to truck tires in 1952. Other advancements in commercial truck include the first pre-mold retreads (1975), the first ultra low aspect wide single tire for over-the-road, drive and trailer positions—the X One tire—launched in 2000. X One tires provide significant fuel savings over dual and other wide single tires.

Michelin Truck Tires includes original and replacement commercial truck tires and Michelin Retread Technologies, Inc. (MRT), as well as a host of services tailored to the needs of owner-operators and fleets of all sizes.
