Welcome to Nursing Educator Michele Kunz's Video Learning Channel.
About Me:

I am an AHA Certified Instructor and specialize in providing AHA Certification classes in ACLS, PALS, and BLS. Visit my website at http://MicheleKunz.com to see more about me, my classes, my books, study guides, essays, and articles. You can also visit my blog at http://TheNurseEducator.com for more info. You can also sign-up for my newsletter at my website or at my blog.

I have been a clinical nursing educator for over 27 years. During those years, I have helped many thousands of nurses improve their own job performance and increase their own job satisfaction. I consider myself to be a nurse's nurse, because I am not hidden away in a classroom or office, but out on the floor everyday - interacting with hospital management, the nurses, the patients, and the physicians.

For many years I was the Director of Nursing Education and Informatics at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. I was in the LICH Nursing Education Department for 25 years. I developed the desire to teach nurses over 30 years ago when I was an ICU nurse at Staten Island University Hospital. It was at SIUH that I realized that I could learn how to be a better nurse by teaching the other nurses. I haven't stopped teaching since then.

I am now the Director of Nursing Education & Research at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY.

I am also the Director of Medical Training at Dickson Keanaghan, LLC, a company that my husband Joe and I created, where we train and certify the medical staff of over 600 hospitals, medical offices, and surgi-centers on Long Island and New York City.

I hope you enjoy these videos that Joe and I created and hope they give you a better understanding of the subjects. Please email or post any questions you have about the videos or about nursing. I look forward to reading your comments and suggestions for new videos.

Please subscribe to my channel, and make comments about my videos. And take a quick look at my blog http://TheNurseEducator.com/.

Thank you very much for tuning in to my video learning channel. You can also watch my videos on your cell phone with YouTube and with iTunes.

Thank you thank you. Michele for you. I can almost imagine us in the classroom at LICH. I am Robin Rutherford and I resigned from LICH over 18months ago to go down south to take care of my Mother and after several surgeries and rehab she is doing fine. My brother is doing his part to help Mother now. I am back in New York looking for a job. And of course I have to update my BCLS, ACLS and PALS. I am having super instructions from your study guides and utube videos. Thank you again. I know I will pass the courses with you as my instructor. Hope all is well with you and that the twins are fine. Love and hugs to you.

Wonderful! I'm about to start Paramedic school (will bridge to RN afterwards) and I wanted a headstart. I will be getting your Zombie Notes as well. I can't tell you how much help you have been. The more I watch these the more comfortable I become, most of which has to do with your great disposition while teaching.
