This is a tune written in MAHUR (major) using a Persian derivative scale. It is a straight-forward work written as if for jazz ensemble but in 6/8 and with a melody imitating Persian Mahur practice. It features traditional players along with jazz musicians and was performed by Zafron Road Ensemble on several occasions the last at the QUeensland Conservatorium in Brisbane on August 7th 2009.
