Reading at the moment The Serpent and the Rainbow by Wade Davis, a great anthropological look at Haity. Others include: Joseph Ellis, Graham Green, Peter Hopkirk, Mark Bowden, W.E.B. Griffin, Joseph Wambaugh, Nelson DeMille, Michael Connelly, Michael Crichton, Richard Marcinko, Robert Sutton, Stuart Herrington, J. P. Cross, Robert Baer, Samantha Power, John Sandford, James Rowe, and William Langewiesche among others. Also the Atlantic Monthly is usually on my list, along with the New Yorker.
